It was very good, we went there without a reservation but it wasn’t a problem! portions could be a little bigger.
Amazing meal and exceptional service.👌
Food is fine, we were only in the mood for some pasta , the portion was smallish but was tasty
Overall I liked it. There were 4 of us and by ordering different dishes I had the opportunity to try various things.
Some are really good, especially the off-menu ones with artichokes. Others are a little heavy, like the carbonara panzerotto.
Overall I would go back for the cuisine and the service, a little less for the location: tables with little space and sacrificed between the passage of other customers.
There are not many restaurants serving typical Roman cuisine in Turin but this is certainly the best. Very good carbonara, welcoming place, friendly staff, price in line with the quality.
Edit: I gave it 5 stars but went back a second time and things didn't go so well. I ordered Roman saltimbocca, I was served 2 scallops without ham on top. I reported it to the waitress the first time and she replied that perhaps they made them like this... I had to insist on asking the chef since she had forgotten to do it, when she came back from the kitchen she told us that they put the ham underneath... The There wasn't any ham, there were two scallops. After the mockery I complained to the owner and at least he had the good sense to give a bit of a discount. In general the former are good, the latter almost all defrosted I would skip them..
Nice restaurant near Porta Palazzo.
Tables in the main room a little cramped. Roman cuisine made very ungenerous with small portions and medium-high prices for dishes. The first courses are good and the chicory as a side dish is recommended.
Improbable meatballs with sauce: little sauce, dry meatballs and 16 euros for four meatballs….
Mediocre and expensive desserts too
My wife and I wanted to try Roman cuisine and we tried the fried courgette flowers, small portion of 3 courgette flowers but we didn't want big things that would take up space for what we would have later. The filling with ricotta and anchovies (I think) is excellent and truly delicate. As first courses we had 2 carbonaras, very good and as a second course we had a oxtail to share, very good and well cooked (we made a slipper with the sauce). For dessert, a visciolata always to share. To drink a sparkling water and a medium beer. Price of everything 72 euros, I would say on average for Turin. Anyway, everything was very good and the staff were friendly. There were no Giudia artichokes so we will return when the season is right to try them.
An experience to do again and again. I ate very well, the service was excellent. The paccheri carbonara are so good that I give them a "10/10"
. Never eaten so good. Even the soft lamb and the chicory... All very good.
I highly recommend.
